Purpose

Various notifications with the ability to send SMS messages to customers, or administrator, or both on certain events.

• Order Confirmation - Sent automatically upon submission of a new order.

• Order Cancelled - Sent automatically when an order is cancelled.

• Order Fulfilled - Sent automatically when an order is fulfilled.

• Order Paid - Sent automatically when an order is paid.

• Order Updated - Sent automatically when an order is updated.

• Refund Notification - Sent automatically when an order is refunded.

Usage Guide

Find the Notifications section in your left-hand menu under Apps:

Open

Click the Create button in the Notifications section to set the desired notifications:

Open

Select the notification type:

Compose your message including variable placeholders, choose the recipient and click button save:

Variable placeholders (like {{order_status_url}}) will automatically be filled/replaced with the respective value when the message is sent.

The new notification is now configured and active.

If for example you to set an SMS notification for new order, an SMS message with your custom message will be sent to the recipient on each new order. You can choose to delete or edit the message any time by clicking on the notification from the list:

All of the above use cases are considered to be transactional (not Marketing). The SMS will be sent regardless of the user’s Marketing consent flag in Shopify for SMS.
